Kuala Krau, Pahang, 21 July 2024 – OSK Group, through the collaboration of OSK Property, OSK Construction and OSK Foundation, has embarked on its second year of “The Good Cause Initiative”, this time extending their support on a larger scale to the Orang Asli community in Kampung Paya Mendoi, Kuala Krau, Pahang.
This year, the initiative has not only assisted another family in need by providing them with a new home but also with the invaluable cooperation of the village committee, upgraded the existing village’s community hall. This upgrade includes the establishment of a new community library within the expanded community hall, a beacon of knowledge and opportunity for the villagers.

OSK Foundation has also connected an important partner to the noble cause, with the introduction of SUKA Society (Persatuan Kebajikan Suara Kanak-kanak Malaysia) to the village, a respected NGO dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. SUKA Society’s role in this year’s initiative is pivotal where they will identify and train a homeroom preschool teacher from within the community, ensuring that early childhood education is accessible right in the heart of the village, leveraging on the resources of the new community library.

This year, our combined efforts have not only provided a home for another Orang Asli family but have also brought in the opportunity of a brighter future for the community with an expanded community hall and a new community library. We are profoundly grateful to support the Orang Asli community once more and are committed to continuing our mission to create lasting, positive changes in their lives,” expressed Ong Ghee Bin, Chief Executive Officer of OSK Property.

Looking ahead, OSK Group is committed to returning to Kampung Paya Mendoi, Kuala Krau annually to bring further improvements to the community with plans of more infrastructure programs aimed at enhancing their quality of life and ensuring a comfortable, sustainable living environment for the community as well as paving the way to improving the socio-economic standards of the future generation through education.
