OSK GROUP IS MADE UP OF TWO COMPANIES THAT ARE PUBLICLY LISTED ON BURSA MALAYSIA, NAMELY OSK HOLDINGS BERHAD AND OSK VENTURES INTERNATIONAL BERHAD
OSK Holdings Berhad began operations in 1963 as a small stockbroking company, which grew into a regional investment bank. OSK Holdings Berhad was listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now known as Bursa Securities) in 1991.
In 1997, OSK Holdings Berhad diversified into properties through its subsidiary, OSK Property Holdings Berhad, which was listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, now known as Bursa Malaysia, in 2002. OSK Property Holdings developed residential, township and commercial projects located in strategic growth areas across the country. As OSK Investment Bank became a Bank Negara Malaysia regulated entity in 2007, OSK Property Holdings was divested from the Group due to regulatory requirements. In recent years, the company has grown aggressively in the Klang Valley through a successful integrated pocket development strategy.
On 28 May 2012, OSK Holdings Berhad announced the merger of OSK Investment Bank with RHB Investment Bank and on 9 November 2012, OSK Holdings Berhad completed the disposal of its subsidiary companies and become a major shareholder of RHB Bank Berhad, an investment holding position that OSK Holdings continues to hold until today.
OSK Holdings then embarked on a corporate exercise on 15 October 2014, to merge PJD Holdings and OSK Property Holdings into the Group. Following the completion of the corporate exercise with PJD Holdings on 8 September 2015 and OSK Property Holdings on 18 December 2015, OSK Holdings Berhad has transformed into a conglomerate with diversified business interests in five areas of businesses namely, Property, Construction, Financial Services, Industries and Hospitality.
